1.) Photography projects around the historic fur depot, on the Mount Rose Trail, along the grand Portage footpath or during our busiest event, Rendezvous Days and Pow Wow in August. 2.) Contributing to a litter free monument by cleaning up the stockade, picnic area, trails and lakefront areas. 3.) Help rehabilitatetwo campsites at Ft. Charlotte (upper end of Grand Portage) which are available for groups composed of ten or less visitors. 4.) Place brush and natural barriers on switchbacks along the Mount Rose nature trail to prevent the creation of shortcut trail damage. 5.) Help gather natural materials for the Ojibwe Village such as birchbark, spruce root and pine pitch with our traditional birchbark canoe builder. 6.) Help our Historic Gardener on various projects in the monument's two heirloom vegetable gardens. 7.) Please call well ahead of your planned arrival time to give monument staff adequate time to schedule your projects. For other potential projects, please contact the monuments VIP Coordinator. |
